Our client base includes Australia’s horticultural and agricultural industries and exporters, Horticulture Innovation Australia (HIA), Plant Health Australia (PHA), the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s (DFAT) Australian aid program, the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR), state and federal governments and various international plant health organisations.
We work with industry and government to develop commercially viable protocols for international and domestic trade; provide technical advisory and capacity building services on quarantine, biosecurity and market access issues; provide advisory services for the planning, implementation and review of international aid programs; develop and review research and development strategies and programs; and we are actively involved in the development of national and international plant health standards and regulations.
Kalang has offices in Suva, Fiji and NSW, Australia. Our staff have a broad sphere of prior work experience, including the agricultural and horticultural private sectors, and have held senior policy and operational positions in the Australian and Fijian quarantine and biosecurity services.
