ACIAR funded taro research program underway

The Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) is funding a collaborative research project between Kalang, the Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC), the Fiji Ministry of Agriculture (MOA), Biosecurity Authority Fiji (BAF) and the Samoan Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries (MAF). Kalang is working with governments, SPC and industry to improve export quality of taro and reduce quarantine intervention of exported product. Program details here

AusAID - PHAMA program Phase 2 - 2013-2017

Kalang will deliver the technical components of Phase 2 of the AusAID funded Pacific Horticulture and Agriculture Market Access (PHAMA) program, under sub contract to URS, the Managing Contractor. The program will be for 4 years from July 1 2013 to June 30 2017. The program will retain a strong focus on Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) related market access issues with an increased emphasis on SPS capacity building.
